The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events (APPG) held its first parliamentary dinner of the new parliament on Wednesday at the House of Commons, bringing together key figures from across the UK events sector and senior political stakeholders. Hosted by Shaun Davies, MP for Telford and chair of the APPG, the dinner welcomed MPs, including several serving APPG Officers, alongside group and individual corporate members.

At beam’s all members meeting, held on 30 April at Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, a panel of final year students from Manchester Metropolitan University urged the industry to open its doors wider. The panel, moderated by beam board member Caroline Medcalf, featured senior lecturer Jonathan Sibley and students – Lucy Hucklebridge-Key, Rummanah Promi, Claire Pisira and Rachel Wheeler.
