Patty Chang, a 2024–2025 Denning Visiting Artist at Stanford University, is a Los Angeles-based artist and teacher who works in video, performance, installation and narrative media. At the Cantor Arts Center’s “Patty Chang: On Mothers, Melons, Lakes, and Whales” event, attendees will learn about Chang’s works, including screenings from projects dating from 1998 to 2022. Chang’s interests include motherhood, gender, identity, transnationalism and the ocean.
