1. IntroductionThe COVID-19 pandemic has seen a growing concern regarding persistent symptoms experienced by individuals after recovering from SARS-CoV-2 infection, a condition now commonly referred to as long COVID. These symptoms can include fatigue, dyspnea, cough, and impaired smell and taste, among others, and are capable of lingering for several months after the acute infection [1,2].
