SALEM, N.H. – Logic dictated that Aaliyah Hajjar would make noise in athletics, namely the sport of volleyball where her coaching grandfather Tony and dad, TJ, have nurtured and raised the sport to new heights at all levels. A funny thing happened, though, on Aaliyah’s way to the court. The Salem High sophomore discovered her true sports love, soccer, at age 4. And when forced to choose what game to play in the fall of 2023, it was the pitch over the hardwood.
