KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City man wrongly identified as a shooter at the 2024 Chiefs Super Bowl rally has died. An attorney for Denton Loudermill confirmed his client’s body was found Friday morning, April 11. The attorney did not release details of Loudermill’s death. Loudermill previously said he suddenly found himself the target of hate following the deadly Chiefs rally on Feb. 14, 2024.

The popular amusement park thinks thrill seekers will immediately notice the changes to some of the most popular rides. ZAMBEZI ZINGERThe company that owns Worlds of Fun said it invested in the Africa-themed section of the park during the winter. Work to transform the Zambezi Zinger is underway with crews enclosing the lift hill.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The widow of a man killed in an Amtrak train crash reached a settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit. Erin Barton sued Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Company and Chariton County following the deadly crash near Mendon, Mo. in June 2022. Her husband, Billy Barton II, 54, of Brookfield, Mo., died when the train hit the dump truck truck he drove at a crossing in a rural part of Chariton County. BNSF managed the railroad tracks at the time of the crash.

Share KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A man charged in a shooting outside North Kansas City High School pleads guilty. According to court documents prosecutors plan to ask a judge to sentence Smallwood to 19 years in prison. Prosecutors charged Smallwood and his younger brother, Lavon’Dre , for their alleged involvement in the March 2024, shooting outside North Kansas City High School. A third man, 21-year-old Nathaniel Greer also faced charges in the case.

City leaders said food trucks and mobile vendors can return to 18th and Central, as long as the owners comply with new regulations. The city held training sessions to make sure food truck owners and vendors are aware of ordinances and proper ways to dispose food waste.
