This online experiment tested whether displaying common claims on unhealthy toddler snack foods influenced parents’ preferences, perceptions, and purchasing intentions for such products. As hypothesised, ‘free from "bad" ingredient’ claims tipped parent’s purchasing intentions towards unhealthy products displaying these claims, with more pronounced effects for certain parent subgroups.
