A partial solar eclipse was visible in some parts of Europe, including Germany, on Saturday, though clouds meant some were unable to see up to one-fifth of the Sun obscured by the Moon. The eclipse reached its peak at around 12:15 pm (1115 GMT), and lasted a further 50 minutes.
