    The Namibian Rugby Premier League heads towards its culmination at the Hage Geingob Stadium tomorrow when the remaining four semifinalists battle it out for a place in the final. FNB Kudus take on FNB Grootfontein in the first semi at 14h30, while FNB Wanderers take on Trustco United at 16h15.     The finals of the King Price National Bowls Week takes place tomorrow where the national champions in the various disciplines will be determined at the Windhoek Bowling Club. After about 300 players battled it out over the past week, the finalists for the singles, pairs and trips competitions have emerged, with several new champions due to be crowned tomorrow.

    Beauties Football Club won the FNB Women Super League with a match to spare after beating Windhoek City 1-0 on Sunday. Beauties also picked up a point in a 2-2 draw against Khomas Nampol on Saturday, and although the defending champions Ongos Ladies thumped Namib Daughters 8-2 at Swakopmund on Sunday, it was not enough to catch Beauties anymore. With one round remaining Beauties now lead Ongos by four points and after their win on Sunday, they already started their celebrations.

    FNB Unam lost the battle for a semifinal place in the Namibia Rugby Premier League after losing a thriller 40-39 to FNB Kudus on Saturday. With Trustco United beating FNB Dolphins 59-28 at Swakopmund, and FNB Grootfontein beating FNB Rehoboth 41-39 at home, they secured the final two semifinal spots and will now join FNB Wanderers and Kudus in next weekend’s semifinals.

    The Namibia Rugby Premier League goes down to the wire this weekend with several teams still in the running to reach the semi-final knockout stages. Log leaders FNB Wanderers (39 points) and second-placed FNB Kudus (29) have already booked their semi-final spots, but FNB Unam (21), FNB Grootfontein (21) and Trustco United (20) are battling it out for the last two spots, while even FNB Western Suburbs and FNB Rehoboth, who are both on 17 points, still have a remote chance of making the semis.
