Immagino che la maggior parte dei dipendenti del Beverly Hills Hotel sappia riconoscere immediatamente tutte le grandi star del cinema. Ma quando mi presento al ristorante dell'albergo e c'è un po' di confusione sulla prenotazione, non ho il coraggio di dire subito che sono lì "per incontrare Javier Bardem". Spiegarlo chiarirebbe immediatamente le cose, ma sbandierare il nome dell'attore mi sembra arrogante.

Supongo que la mayoría de los empleados del Beverly Hills saben quiénes son las grandes estrellas de cine, pero cuando llego al restaurante del hotel y surge una confusión sobre la reserva, me veo incapaz de decir el nombre en cuestión. My guess is that most employees at the Beverly Hills Hotel know who all the big-name movie stars are, but when I arrive at the hotel restaurant and there’s some confusion about the reservation, I find myself unable to say the relevant name. A simple “I’m here to meet Javier Bardem” would instantly clear things up, but the name-drop feels … entitled? Arrogant, somehow? I wait at the bar, worried I’ve soured the interview before it even starts. I’m expecting Bardem to be intense and demanding.
