Disability cricket will break new ground in 2025 with the first pan-disability series between two countries, with India Men coming to England to compete in an IT20 series across June and July. The format – pioneered by the Disability Premier League here in the UK – sees a team of mixed impairment players playing together, with players from the Learning Disability, Physical Disability and Deaf squads forming each team’s XI.

Minimum starting salaries will be equalised across men’s and women’s professional domestic cricket from 2025. The move will apply both at ‘Rookie’ level, which is being introduced into the women’s game for the first time and which will typically be a player’s first professional contract, and at ‘Senior Pro’ level for players who have established themselves in first teams.

Adams was also named Player of the Tournament, while Vipers stalwart Anya Shrubsole signed off from regional cricket on a high, lifting the trophy and earning the Player of the Match award. Pompey fan Shrubsole then announced she was retiring at the end of the season and had played her last game for the Vipers.
