1. IntroductionThroughout life, teeth are exposed to a broad spectrum of physical and chemical injuries, which contributes to a wide range of tooth wear [1]. Chemical factors can be extrinsic or intrinsic as the consumption of acidic foods or presence of stomach acids from reflux and regurgitation, respectively [2]. Parafunctional habits such as bruxism, regular mastication (attrition) and toothbrushing (abrasion) are mechanical or physical factors [3].
