As protests and violence continue in Los Angeles over the Trump administration’s immigration policies, some news outlets are doing a good job of laying everything out: examples of peaceful demonstrations, examples of violence, critics of the Trump administration, supporters of an immigrant crackdown, etc. Conversely, many other news outlets seem to be endorsing one extreme or absolute narrative over any others.

Should former President Joe Biden’s cancer have been caught sooner? Biased news sources on the left and right are selectively using health guidance and quotes from doctors to advance different conclusions. Some left-rated sources suggested it was normal for Biden to have forgone prostate cancer screenings, while sources on the right suggested it wasn’t.

A new “de-extinction” effort is being praised by some as a scientific marvel. Others say it’s a dangerous effort to control nature. And still others are skeptical of the experiment’s legitimacy. But not all news outlets shared the skepticism, and some were a bit too credulous. The Texas-based “de-extinction” company Colossal Biosciences says it has re-created dire wolves, which last lived around 13,000 years ago.
