Faire de l’exercice pour sa santé mentale et son bien-être est devenu le principal facteur de motivation des Australiens, une étude montrant que la perte de poids n’est plus la raison pour laquelle les Australiens choisissent de faire de l’exercice. Dans le cadre d’une étude commandée par le géant du sport ASICS, un peu plus de 1 000 Australiens ont été interrogés sur leurs motivations pour faire de l’exercice et sur l’évolution de celles-ci au cours des cinq dernières années.

Dans une étude inédite, des chercheurs australiens ont constaté que la simple activité de la marche, associée à une formation, était bénéfique pour les personnes souffrant de lombalgie. Cette découverte fait suite à une étude publiée dans le Journal of Physiotherapy, selon laquelle environ sept personnes sur dix connaissent une nouvelle poussée de lombalgie dans les 12 mois qui suivent la guérison d’un premier épisode.
