AN alleged 'dine and dash' couple accused of fleeing a pub without paying a £62 bill are being hunted by cops. Essex Police say they want to speak with Daniel Alani and Kerry Stevens, both 38, in connection with a number of investigations into alleged making off without payment and failure to answer police bail. Alani is around 5ft 8ins in height and described as having a "stocky build", while Stevens is around 5ft in height and of "small build", cops say.

A RARE 20p coin has sold for 250 times its face value - so it might be time to check under your sofa. The Britannia Coin Company of Royal Wootton Bassett dubbed the rare undated token the "holy grail of change collecting". A printing error in 2008 saw a limited number of 20p coins struck without a year. The Royal Mint printed 136million 20p pieces with around 250,000 bearing the error.

ONE million people are descending on west London for Notting Hill Carnival this weekend with revellers dancing through the streets. The festival is a fixture in London's cultural calendar and attracts similar numbers each year. It is one of the longest-running street parties in the UK and celebrates Caribbean culture with vividly costumed performers taking part in a parade through the streets with dancing and music.
