RADIO BROADCAST #83203–15–25Fanatic! I hope you had a tremendous week with lots of music and good health. Tonight’s show is definitely a “spring oriented” gathering of tunes. I think it’s a good one. We’re finishing up our shows for March and looking forward to starting to build our April broadcasts. As I sometimes tell you in these notes, I was able to hear a new album that’s not out yet but when it arrives, we will be getting into it.

RADIO BROADCAST #83103–08–25I hope you had a great week. I’m not sure if you’re aware but the great Brian James of the Damned has passed away. If you were a fan of the first two Damned albums, that’s the lineup of the band he was in and he was the primary songwriter. This is tough news. To make sure we never miss a show, as best we can. we try to work in advance. When we got the news about Brian, we had already made tonight’s show.

RADIO BROADCAST #83003–01–25Fanatic. You might remember in the show notes from our February 15 broadcast, we included a site address where a Fanatic could send some funds to help David Johansen and his family. Thanks to your kind contributions David’s remaining days were made as comfortable as possible. He passed away yesterday at 75 years of age. Somewhere in the early 1980s I saw that David was coming to Los Angeles to play at the Roxy as his persona Buster Poindexter.

RADIO BROADCAST #82902–22–25Fanatic! Just my opinion, but on the first day of March Fanatic spring officially starts. While I’m sure the calendar as we know it says different, I’m holding firm! I’m done with winter and I’m ready for something else. I don’t think tonight’s gathering of top tier tunes is necessarily a “goodbye” to winter but it’s a good mix all the same.
