Samsung’s taken the most popular art TV and improved its picture quality and aesthetics, thanks to the Wireless One Connect Box. I didn’t get any time with Samsung’s latest regular Frame TV, but those who don’t need the improved brightness and contrast will still get better refresh rates for gaming and the One Connect Box for a cleaner TV setup. Improved anti-reflection tech makes Samsung’s flagship OLED more capable of living up to its “glare-free” branding.

Henry T. Casey/CNN Underscored I was one of the first journalists to try out the Nintendo Switch 2 at its world premiere in New York City, and the new console feels like a winner. Nintendo is giving us more of what we love, starting with a bigger screen and an upgraded console that can run games that you didn’t expect to play on a Switch. But I left the event unsure if I will be throwing cash down when it’s Nintendo Switch 2 preorder time.

Google’s Pixel 9a doesn’t just look like a strong successor over last year’s Pixel 8a, this budget-friendly phone looks like the best phone that won’t break the bank. Not only is it (just barely) under $500, but it’s also notably less-pricey than the latest budget iPhone while packing perks that Apple makes you pay more for. The Pixel 9a also stands above the similarly-priced Samsung Galaxy A36 with additional support, which should ensure a lifespan from 2025 to possibly 2032.

Henry T. Casey/CNN Underscored I was a bit confused when Apple rolled out the MacBook Air with M4, its 2025 edition of its beloved thin and light laptop, as there wasn’t a whole lot of ‘new’ in this news. While Apple upgraded the brains and lowered the starting price, I typically expect more than that when Apple updates one of its biggest products. But maybe this is just a sign that I’ve been reviewing the best MacBooks for too long.
