The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has become foundational to worldwide multidisciplinary research, thereby establishing “AI for science” as a new paradigm. Due to the vast potential, an increasing number of researchers are investigating the application of AI and data-driven methods to earthquake engineering. In fact, over the last few years, the area has arguably become one of the research frontiers in earthquake engineering.
