May 11—With a satiric song in their heart and a bawdy joke on their minds, the Whitefish Cabaret has slipped into something more comfortable for the summer season. During a Saturday morning rehearsal in April, company members David Blair, Becky Rygg, Collette Strean, Mikey Winn and production manager Kelsie Gripentrog gathered at the O'Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish to give a sneak preview of what's in store ahead of the show's opening.

May 8—Voters in the Kalispell Public Schools high school district approved a $2.97 million general fund levy request on Tuesday, snapping an 18-year streak of rejecting such requests. Nearly 56% of ballots were in favor of the high school general fund levy — aimed at supporting educational programming and maintaining staffing levels — according to preliminary results. Residents in Kalispell and 13 surrounding partner districts that feed into the high school district were able to vote on the levy.
