Mortality among people with HIV declined with the introduction of combination antiretroviral therapy. We investigated trends over time in all-cause and cause-specific mortality in people with HIV from 1999—2020. Data were collected from the D:A:D cohort from 1999 through January 2015 and RESPOND from October 2017 through 2020. Age-standardized all-cause and cause-specific mortality rates, classified using Coding Causes of Death in HIV (CoDe), were calculated.

Vaccination plays a critical role in mitigating the burden associated with yellow fever (YF). However, there is a lack of comprehensive evidence on the humoral response to primary vaccination in the paediatric population, with several questions debated, including the response when the vaccine is administered at early ages, the effect of co-administration with other vaccines, the duration of immunity and the use of fractional doses, among others.

1 IntroductionEffective lifelong antiretroviral therapy (ART) substantially reduces the incidence of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)-related morbidity and mortality in people living with HIV (PLHIV) and transforms HIV infection into a chronic disease by reducing viraemia to undetectable levels and increasing CD4+ T-cell counts in peripheral blood (1).
