Two teenage best friends died while “holding hands” in a horror crash on the way to their school formal after the driver ignored pleas to slow down. Kiea McCann, 17 and Dlava Mohamed, 16, were being driven to prom by 61-year-old Anthony McGinn when the tragedy unfolded. The driver had been speeding on his way to the annual school event when he lost control of his BMW and smashed into a tree at 120km/ph, The Sun reports.

A BRIT stalker travelled to Bali with a rope in his suitcase after threatening to kidnap an influencer he hounded with sexual messages, a court heard. Rob Keating allegedly sent "incessant and constant" emails and video messages to Alexandra Saper, 33. Jurors heard the 39-year-old booked a one-way ticket to Bali, telling Alexandra: "Flights booked baby girl". He then told the travel blogger "you're never getting rid of me" after landing, Portsmouth Crown Court was told.

A NURSE wrongly suspended for two years after a patient claimed she was pregnant with his child has won a huge payout. Jessica Thorpe was investigated after the man, named only as Patient X, said the pair were in an "inappropriate relationship". He was a patient on a secure facility for men with mental disorders who have come into contact with the criminal justice system. The patient claimed Thorpe was "pregnant with his child" - leading her to be suspended three days later.

A TALENTED interior designer took her own life in the garden after using ketamine to help cope with her anxiety, an inquest heard. Emma Neame, 38, may have been hallucinating at the time of the tragedy in Thornton Heath, South London. The interior designer had split with the father of her twins and was suffering with mounting financial pressure and bulimia. South London Coroner’s Court heard Emma had also struggled with her mental health from the age of 17.

A young mum has died at home after inhaling laughing gas while battling a chest infection, an inquest was told. Kira Booth was discovered in her flat in Burnley, England, by a support worker in November after she went silent on social media for 24 hours. An inquest into the 21-year-old’s death heard a large number of nitrous oxide containers were found at her home. Two were discovered near her bed and sofa, while a further 18 were packaged up ready to be thrown out.
