Nineteen people have been killed in the latest Israeli air strikes on Lebanon's eastern Baalbek-Hermel region on Thursday, as intense attacks continued. Eleven people, including three women, were killed in a strike on Baalbek's Salibi farm, the National News Agency said, with three wounded people admitted to intensive care. Eight others were killed in a strike on the town of Bednayel. On Wednesday, the Israeli army issued an eviction order for the city of Baalbek and two surrounding towns.

Israeli air strikes on Syria's capital Damascus and a military site near the western city of Homs on Thursday killed a soldier and wounded seven others. The strikes targeted two different locations in the Kfar Sousa neighbourhood of Damascus at 3:40am local time, the Sana news agency reported. The other struck a military site in rural Homs. The strikes caused material damage, Syrian state media Sana said, without providing details.

There was no immediate statement from Hezbollah.
