AbstractCoastal urbanization is a key driver of mangrove loss, yet its global impacts on mangroves have yet to be thoroughly understood. Here we present a fine-scale assessment of the hidden impacts of urbanization on mangroves mediated by climate, and the joint effects of urbanization and climate at the global scale.

1 INTRODUCTION Turbulent transport is the most important way of exchanging heat, moisture, and momentum between the Earth's surface and the atmosphere (Caughey et al., 1979; Garratt, 1994; Stull, 1988), and is achieved through the action of turbulent motions (Chan et al., 2021; Marusic et al., 2010; Robinson, 1991). The measurement of turbulent flux is important for a wide range of applications, and the most universal method is the eddy covariance (EC) system.
