Two suspects arrested in connection with the disappearance of journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli are expected to appear in the KwaMhlanga Magistrate’s Court in Mpumalanga this morning. The couple was last seen in Mamelodi, Pretoria, in February. Last week, police discovered human remains in Rust de Winter, Limpopo, believed to be those of Ndlovu and Mdhluli. So far, five individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.

National Police Commissioner, General, Fannie Masemola says arrests of two more suspects are imminent in the case of missing journalist, Aserie Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli. Five suspects that have already been arrested appeared in the KwaMhlanga Magistrate’s Court in Mpumalanga on Friday. A few days ago, police discovered remains believed to be those of the couple in Rust de Winter, Limpopo. Masemola has also given the assurance that they will fast-track the DNA processing of the remains.

A fifth body has been found at the Hennops River in Centurion, Pretoria. The police’s search and rescue team was searching for the three police constables who went missing last week Wednesday, when they uncovered two more bodies a few kilometres apart. Deputy National Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya says they are trying to establish what could have happened in the river.
