Hossam Shabat, a 23-year-old journalist with Al Jazeera Mubasher, is one of the few reporters to have remained and survived in northern Gaza since Israel’s genocidal assault began 14 months ago. His bravery and dedication to covering one of the most brutal military campaigns in recent history is almost beyond comprehension. Hossam has witnessed untold death and suffering on a daily basis. He has been displaced over 20 times. His colleagues have been killed in front of him.
