The cockpit features a full carbon-fiber dashboard and a towering shift lever for the six-speed manual gearbox. Built by Koenigsegg, this 4.8-liter twin-supercharged V-8 has been modified to run on both E85 and E100 ethanol fuel. Christian von Koenigsegg allocated the car to Norwegian industrial designer Bård Eker, so as to accumulate road mileage for real-world testing.

Koenigsegg called it the “Flower Power” car. Back in 2006, when most supercar builders were focused on ever-increasing muscle, the Swedish automaker decided to combine output with sustainability via its biofuel-powered CCXR. It was dubbed the world’s first green supercar. Here was a speed machine that could run on corn-derived E85 ethanol, yet still crank out over 1,000 hp and hit a top speed of over 250 mph. Between 2006 and 2010, Koenigsegg built 19 examples of the CCXR.

With its flowing fenders, mile-long hood, muscular 5.1-liter supercharged straight-eight engine, and raked-back windscreen, the model was the dream machine of the period. Naturally, its rarity was part of its rarified appeal. Between 1934 and 1936, Mercedes built just 342 examples of the 500 K. Of these, 29 were bodied as two-seat, open-top Special Roadsters.

The tan-leather interior, with burgundy piping, was the creation of upholsterer Ken Dickman, whose artisanship has been showcased in cars that have won at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The car is fit with a 5.1-liter, supercharged straight-eight engine.
