    The ski lift came crashing down injuring at least 40 people, many of whom were treated at the emergency campaign hospital that has been set up. Only two of the 40 victims were seriously injured who were transferred to Hospital Miguel Servet and Hospital Clínico de Zaragoza. The whole of the ski resort was evacuated and closed to the public.

    The said CCTV images came from a nearby gasolinera’s security footage. After purchasing these ‘items’ he went to his hotel in Fuengiroa, went to his room and allegedly set light to it. The incident occurred on the 2nd of this month around 14.30h on the 12th floor in the Stella Maris. Witnesses reported dense spoke coming out of the building, clearly visible from the Paseo Marítimo. In short time, the flames had spread to an adjacent room.

    The first death involved a 21-year-old Irish woman in the El Chorro area within the municipality of Álora in Málaga. Although it is known that she fell 150 metres, it is not known how this came about. This incident was reported to the emergency coordination centre (112) at 19.10h on Friday. The second accident took place in Lleida, (Solsonès) on Saturday when a 30-year-old man plunged to his death around midday. He had been scaling the Canalda rockface, which is at the Fills del Vent.
