HUGH SULLIVANAn unusually dry and sunny spring has brought cricket weather early this year, and the Horntye Park pitch off Bohemia Road is looking a pretty picture. The Hastings & St Leonards Priory team, relegated from the Sussex Premier League by the closest of margins last September, play their first Division 2 match away to Preston Nomads 2nd XI tomorrow (Saturday). They will open their home season the following Saturday, 17 May, when they entertain Brighton & Hove.

HUGH SULLIVAN and PAUL MCLAUGHLINPlans for a major new housing development on the former bathing pool site at Seaside Road in West St Leonards have been revealed by prospective developers, over three-and-a-half years after signing a Development Agreement with Hastings Borough Council (HBC). The proposals, showcased at a public exhibition last Tuesday (29 April) at Electro Studios, featured detailed drawings and visual projections for more than 150 new homes on the site.
