Au départ du projet, il y a le collectif O’Watt Citoyen (OWC) qui se forme en 2019 autour de l’association “Quelle terre demain ?” œuvrant depuis 2005 pour la protection de l’environnement à Cergy-Pontoise et dans le Vexin français. Ses fondateurs, Patric Kruissel et Gérard Sandret se mettent alors à la recherche d’un terrain propice à accueillir des panneaux solaires.

With Europeans heading to the polls in two weeks to elect a new EU Parliament, right-wing forces seem set to gain seats. This shift would partly reflect one that has already happened at national level in various European countries, from Italy to France, Sweden, and Portugal, where the far right has leveraged social and economic insecurity to gain consensus.

Progressive green-left coalitions must translate generalised discontent and polarisation into grassroots support for a bold climate agenda, providing global political and everyday societal energy solutions. There’s a festering, yet completely normalised, form of dissonance in global (climate) politics.
