After dimensionality reduction, UVM cells from 11 samples were clustered into seven groups: tumor cells, photoreceptors, NKT cells, monocytes and macrophages, T cells, plasma cells, and B cells (Fig. 1A). Univariate Cox analysis identified nine HRGs with prognostic significance, distributed across both tumor and immune cell clusters (Fig. 1B, C).

Cytokine(s) pre-activation/licensing is an effective way to enhance the immunomodulatory potency of mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs). Currently, IFN-γ licensing received the most attention in comparison with other cytokines. After licensing human bone marrow-derived MSCs with pro-/anti-inflammatory cytokines IFN-γ, IL-1β, TNF-α, TGF-β1 alone or in combination, the in-vitro immunomodulatory potency of these MSCs was studied by incubating with allogeneic T cells and macrophage-like THP-1 cells.

AbstractHepatic ischemia–reperfusion injury (HIRI) was widely accepted as a critical complication of liver resection and transplantation. A growing body of evidence suggested that O-sialoglycoprotein endopeptidase (OSGEP) was involved in cell proliferation and mitochondrial metabolism. However, whether OSGEP could mediate the pathogenesis of HIRI has still remained unclarified. This study investigated whether OSGEP could be protective against HIRI and elucidated the potential mechanisms.

Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common chronic joint degenerative disease. Mitophagy is closely related to OA pathogenesis. Herein, we investigated the role of lncRNA OIP5-AS1 in regulating mitophagy during OA. Methods: RT-qPCR and Western blotting were utilized to analyze gene and protein levels. RIP and RNA pull down verified the relationship between OIP5-AS1, FUS and PPAR-γ. CCK-8 assay detected cells viability. ELISA evaluated the secretion of inflammatory cytokines.
