The First Academy three-star safety Devin Jackson has decommitted from Florida after pledging to the Gators back in July. “It’s just the right decision for me right now,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons of his decision. Jackson pledged to the Gators when defensive backs coach Will Harris was leading his recruitment, but Harris has since moved on to a job at Miami.

Entering the second half of conference play in the SEC, nine teams currently have eight conference wins or less through five weekends of action. While not guaranteed, the general threshold for an SEC team making the field of 64 and playing in a regional is 14 conference victories — RPI will also play a role in the selection process, South Carolina missed in 2022 despite having 13 SEC wins thanks to an RPI that finished at No. 69 nationally. The goalposts will move each season.

Colorado is looking to get in the mix for one of the nation’s top 2026 prospects. Mansfield (Texas) Lake Ridge five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo has witnessed contenders emerge throughout his recruitment and has locked in an official visit schedule for the summer. Add the Buffaloes to the list. Ojo told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Wednesday night that he’s locked in an official visit to Boulder for the weekend of May 2. “I feel like (Coach) Deion is changing the game over there at Colorado,” Ojo said.

Palatine (Ill.) three-star interior offensive lineman Tony Balanganayi has committed to Illinois, he announced on Wednesday evening. He chose the in-state Illini over offers from more than 10 other Power Four programs, including Auburn, Miami, Nebraska, Michigan, Kentucky and Louisville. Balanganayi is the No. 854 overall prospect and No. 81 IOL in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

According to multiple reports — first by Frank Burlison — five-star small forward Tajh Ariza, the son of former NBA veteran Trevor Ariza, has transferred from Westchester Senior to SJB and is already enrolled in classes. The 6-foot-8, 180-pounder just led Westchester, his father’s alma mater, to a 24-win season and a Los Angeles City Section title.
