    The popularity of South Korean cosmetics in the US has increased, with sales of the products growing at four to five times the rate of the market as a whole. According to Samsung Securities on Tuesday, sales of South Korean basic cosmetics on Amazon in the US surged 122% year over year in the third quarter of last year. During the same period, overall sales of basic cosmetics on Amazon increased by 29%.

    Matin Kim, a rising designer brand in South Korea, will open its first offline store in Japan in the first half of next year, joining a slew of Korea indie fashion brands that have built their presence in the neighboring country. For its venture into Japan, it signed a five-year partnership agreement with Musinsa, South Korea’s largest online fashion platform, which will oversee Matin Kim’s distribution and online sales in Japan.
