This protocol has been drafted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses for Protocols (PRISMA-P) [40] and registered with the Open Science Framework (https://osf.io/qvbs8). The methods for the described systematic review and NMA will follow established methodological guidance from the Cochrane Collaboration [41] and the Decision Support Unit of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), London [42,43,44].
