Callum Smith is delighted to have sorted out his immediate future after agreeing a new deal at Raith Rovers. The 25-year-old has penned a short-term contract through to the January transfer window as he continues his rehabilitation following knee surgery. Freed Dunfermline defender Aaron Comrie could be on his way to Glentoran in the Northern Irish Premiership. The former St Johnstone full-back was one of 14 players who left East End Park at the end of the season. And the 28-year-old is reported to now be in talks with Glentoran about a move to Belfast. Comrie spent six years with Dunfermline after leaving Saints in 2019 and racked up his 200th appearance for the Pars back in January.

Ex-Dunfermline defender Josh Edwards will be playing in the English Championship next season after a dramatic promotion with Charlton Athletic. The former fans’ favourite played the whole game as the Addicks triumphed over Leyton Orient in their League One play-off final. Having missed out on automatic promotion by finishing fourth at the end of the regular season, the London club set up their trip to Wembley with a semi-final victory over Wycombe Wanderers.

The Hibernian striker has received his first full call-up after impressing with the Easter Road club this term. Victor Wanyama has indicated he would be ‘happy’ to sign on again at Dunfermline. The former Celtic and Spurs midfielder was a shock recruit for the Pars in the days after mentor Neil Lennon was appointed manager at East End Park. The 33-year-old was short of match fitness and suffered the ignominy of a red card on his debut against Ayr United.
