Wasaga Beach has added to its land holdings, buying a high-profile property at the entrance of the downtown. At its March 27 meeting, council approved the purchase of 304 Main St. for $3.04 million, and set in motion a process to find a development partner in the next couple of weeks. The town started the expropriation process in December for 24 and 32 Main St., identifying both as “integral” to the development of a traffic circle at Main and Mosley, and the creation of a new public square at the beachfront. The work for both projects is expected to be completed through 2025 and 2026.

While residents have always had access to the information helpline, a third-party contractor has been brought in to assist with information requests specific to the township.
