I was always fascinated by Jimmy Buffett. That guy created his brand and stuck to it till the very end. Any time I passed a Margaritaville restaurant (or Air Margaritaville in the airport), I wanted to jump right in and imagine living that tropical island life. Genius.

Last week my little girl was with her nana. She was chatting away & eventually asked what nana’s dad was called. “Ken” came the answer. “What happened to Ken?” my little girl asked. “He died” nana said. “Oh that’s a shame. He would have got into the Barbie movie for free”.

I’m so sad about George. He has always been the face of BBC News to me - and this tribute by Clive is incredibly powerful and emotional.
