NetRise has closed a $10 million Series A funding round for software supply chain visibility and risk management. The funding round was led by DNX Ventures. It included several existing investors, including Miramar Digital Ventures, Sorenson Capital, Squadra Ventures, and Talons Ventures. It brings the total raised by NetRise to $24.8 million.

The CA/Browser Forum has voted to reduce the life of SSL/TLS certificates to just 42 days by 2029. The move is part of a plan to improve online security. The reduction in lifespan should also drive automation and make systems ready for quantum computing challenges. Of course, there is another side to this: cost. The cost of a Sectigo Domain Wildcard (DVWC) certificate is currently £350 ex VAT. By 2029, customers will be paying this 8 times a year. That means their costs will rise to over £3,000.

VertiGIS is to use its Integrator solution to integrate GIS data into SAP’s ERP systems. The project is in support of its client, the Intermunicipal Association for Waste Management (IVAGO) in Ghent, Belgium. The integration will enable the route planning team to plan more efficient routes for its 190 collection vehicles, road sweepers and electric passenger cars.
