The last time they won the title in front of supporters was 12,783 days ago. The atmosphere was very, very special. Being at Anfield was probably up there with other memorable games, such as Dortmund in 2016 and Barcelona in 2019. I felt privileged to be there with all of the supporters. I deliberately didn't talk over You'll Never Walk Alone before the game.

Liverpool's incoming sporting director Richard Hughes began his playing days as a junior for Atalanta in Italy before moving back to the UK at 18. He also worked as a co-commentator for BT Sport upon retirement from playing, regularly on the big Sunday night games from Serie A. His father, Kevin, was an agent and scout based in Milan and represented his son throughout his playing career.
