The global asset management industry hit a record $128tn in assets under management in 2024 - a 12% jump from the prior year, according to a report from Boston Consulting Group.
This increases marks a rebound from the decline in 2022, but the recovery ‘belies mounting structural pressures that demand urgent reinvention’, BCG’s Global Asset Management 2025 report warned.
The paper found that 70% of the global industry’s $58bn revenue growth last year came from market-driven returns.
