Meanwhile, his team of Red-tailed Hawks - marshaled by other MCAL coaches - put together enough good rounds to claim the team title by the slimmest of margins.

As the players gathered back at the clubhouse, neither O’Connell nor the Red-tailed Hawks could be totally sure that they had done enough to win.

To that end, Novato got exactly what it needed with a pair of wins against Branson fueled by a red-hot week at the plate from Julian Oliver. The two teams who can safely say they are going to make the league playoffs - San Marin and Tam - both picked up sweeps last week.
