Charles White, who graduated in May from OHS, was appointed by U.S. Senator Roger Wicker. White was one of 16 students appointed across the various service academies and the only one from Oxford.

This was the second installment of such a day since Hill’s senior year with the Rebels. “This is my second home,” Hill said. “I was here for five years and I wanted to leave a legacy here that goes beyond football.”The event was held on Saturday at Avent Park.

The convention was held at Davenport’s alma mater, Mississippi State University, where he received a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Agriculture Education.
