While the event, hosted by UK-based Kisaco, started with semiconductors, it has continually expanded its focus to include software, models, networking, and full data center optimization.

    IBM Qiskit, used to develop quantum circuits, is being augmented with a Quantum Function Catalog, is also being updated to deliver faster performance to speed application development. When Qiskit launched in 2017, the Quantum development tool helped learners and explorers, designed for the masters of both the computational application domain and the exotic world of quantum circuits. Now, Qiskit has the performance and functions needed to help seek advantage on utility-scale quantum computers.

    New benchmark results from AMD, Untether AI, Google, Intel, and Nvidia demonstrate the converging AI silicon performance competition. However, system design, networking, and software make AI sing and dance. And that’s where Nvidia excels. Finally, I can stop whining about AMD’s lack of open AI benchmarks. AMD has published excellent MLPerf inference results for their MI300 GPU, which is competitive with the Nvidia H100, although only on a single benchmark.
