WARNING: Distressing content. Lachlan Macquarie is largely remembered as the governor who transitioned NSW from a convict colony into a prosperous society. But he's also a highly controversial figure. During his 12 years as governor from January 1810 to December 1821, he played a key role in developing the NSW economy by establishing its first currency and bank. There is a statue of him in Sydney's Hyde Park, looking down Macquarie Street, home to the NSW Parliament.

تناقلت وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في أكتوبر الماضي مقطع فيديو يُزعم أنه يظهر مجموعة من أسرى حماس الذين يحتجزهم الجيش الإسرائيلي، حيث اجبروا على الاستماع لأغنية عبرية للأطفال لمدة تصل إلى ثماني ساعات. يُظهر الفيديو الأسرى وهم معصوبو الأعين ومكبلي الأيدي، وكانت الأغنية مشابهة لأغنية الأطفال المشهورة Baby Shark ومؤلفها الفنان الإسرائيلي ميني تزوكيرل. هذه الحادثة ليست الوحيدة التي يشهد فيها العالم استخدام الموسيقى بشكل مهين في حالات الاحتجاز.

A video circulating on social media in October allegedly shows a group of Hamas captives, held by Israeli forces, being forced to listen to a Hebrew children's song on loop for eight hours. The captives, who were blindfolded and handcuffed, were played a song in Hebrew that sounds similar to the well-known children’s song Baby Shark. The song, whose name translates to A Sprinkler with a Purpose, is by Israeli children's singer Meni Tzukerl (stage name Meni Mamtera).

For rapper Jerome Misa - aka J Emz - having police walk into his room unannounced had become so normal he didn’t even think it was "that bad". "There was a time period where I was staying in a garage back at my old place when I did stay with my parents and [the police would] just come and lift the garage [door] up, walk in, have a walk around my room and shit like that," he told The Feed. J Emz is one of the founding members of the drill group ONEFOUR. They started making music together in 2014.
