Bordeaux-Begles may have won the Champions Cup last month but for prop Jefferson Poirot they remain "underdogs" for Saturday's French Top 14 semi-final with Toulon. Poirot's side finished second in the league table at the end of the regular season having claimed their maiden major crown by powering past Northampton on May 24. They head to a sold-out Groupama Stadium in Lyon to face four-time French champions Toulon, who hammered Castres 52-23 in last weekend's play-off.

Experienced Samu and promising Pollock, 20, met in last Saturday's Champions Cup final in Cardiff as the French outfit lifted the trophy for the first time.

Scotland fly-half Finn Russell says ending the season with a treble for club side Bath will be crucial to his aspirations of claiming a Test spot with the British and Irish Lions this summer. The English club beat Lyon 37-12 on Friday to lift the Challenge Cup, following on from Premiership Cup success in March. They have already secured a home Premiership semi-final on June 6 and are favourites for the title having lost just three times in the league this season.
