The heart and the lung, the cor and the pulmonale, arguably our most vital organs, and probably a good name for a metal band! Communication between these organs is important to keep us beating and breathing, but also crucially important to understand and evaluate in several diseases. In this issue of Breathe, we focus on this “cardiopulmonary axis”. The marriage of these two organs is probably best highlighted in pulmonary hypertension.

Persidangan Dewan Rakyat pada 9 Disember 2024 telah meluluskan Rang Undang-Undang (RUU) Komunikasi dan Multimedia (Pindaan) 2024. RUU itu diluluskan melalui undi belah bahagian dengan 59 Ahli Parlimen bersetuju, manakala 40 tidak menyokong, seorang tidak mengambil bahagian serta 122 tidak hadir. Berdasarkan keputusan undian tersebut, pindaan rang undang-undang tersebut jelas menimbulkan kesangsian dalam kalangan rakyat akan tujuan sebenar pindaan tersebut dilaksanakan.
