Etsy “re-architected” its search engine to add a “Q Score,” CEO Josh Silverman told a Wall Street gathering on Tuesday – and it is telling sellers how to improve their Q Score to raise their prominence in search. The Q stands for quality, meaning the Etsy search engine doesn’t exclusively consider relevance anymore. Online marketplace Bonanza announced in April it was raising fees as of May 1, but some sellers may be unaware they are now accumulating much higher fees, a reader informed us this week. "How many sellers on Bonanza with hundreds/thousands of listings are going to charged monthy and will be completely unaware? I'm guessing most Bonanza sellers are eBay sellers who imported their items for some extra sales. But in reality, most sell nothing/almost nothing on Bonanza," the seller said.

The White House announced on Monday that the US and China will each lower tariffs by 115% while retaining an additional 10% tariff as part of a 90-day suspension. Other US measures will remain in place – including the removal of the de minimis exemption. That means US shoppers will continue to pay duties on small packages sent directly to them from China even when they are valued at $800 or less, whereas prior to May 2nd, they did not have to.
