The world premiere production of A Hanukkah Carol, or GELT TRIP! The Musical, originally scheduled to run December 6–31, will no longer be a part of Round House Theatre’s 2023/24 Season. It will be replaced in the current season by Conor McPherson’s The Seafarer. As the development process of A Hanukkah Carol has proceeded, it has become clear that, given the cost of the production, the current performance schedule does not meet the needs of this world-premiere musical.

Round House Theatre has announced a six-show lineup for its 46th Season. Following a magical season of performances in 2022-2023-including an American premiere, an enchanting interpretation of a Shakespeare classic, two world premieres as part of the second annual National Capital New Play Festival, and a return to August Wilson's American Century Cycle-Round House is excited for audiences to experience its 2023-2024 season, which includes a wide range of shows for every theatrical taste.
