The U.S. Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, recently terminated two commercial leases held by federal departments in central Pa., totaling $1.49 million in annual rent. The canceled leases, located in York and Dauphin counties, were included in DOGE’s ‘Wall of Receipts,’ a section of the department’s website citing thousands of contract, grant, and lease terminations.

Harrisburg University of Science and Technology announced Friday night that Dr. Eric Darr, president of the Harrisburg tech institution for 11 years, has resigned. David Schankweiler, former HU Board of Trustees chair and the founder of the Central Penn Business Journal, has been named interim president. The news follows financial troubles at the university that has seen it refocus its efforts stateside.
