Democrats will fight against any mechanism that would make Nancy Pelosi's seat competitive, then campaign on Trump being a threat to democracy.

The DNC is the sous chef for this mess. If they had modeled democratic processes and governance, rather than wielding power as a matter of convenience and interest, then the culture would have a bulwark against fascism and the abandonment of due process.

To say "let's eliminate due process for the bad guys" is to fundamentally misunderstand what due process is.
