From July 4 to 6, Fun Philippines Toronto Food & Music Festival will take over the city’s Harbourfront Centre for a “high-energy celebration of Filipino culture, bringing together the Philippines’ culinary delights, musical traditions and artistic expressions.”“Don’t miss Toronto’s ultimate Filipino festival at Canada’s community waterfront,” the festival website says.

Born and raised in Toronto, artist Julia Brevetti misses being a kid and how simple life can be when you’re young. But her latest ensemble of paintings brings her right back to her youth. Titled “Skull Collection,” the artwork features similar simple colour palettes to the ones she used as a child and has been a form of “exposure therapy” for Brevetti throughout the creative process.
