    Avic International Leasing is hoping to raise at least $24.8m by selling a six-year-old kamsarmax bulk carrier through a Chinese online auction website. Bidding on the 81,800-dwt bulker SDTR Dora (built 2019) will begin on 5 June, according to the Shipbid auction platform.

    Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has landed an order for a series of newcastlemax bulker carriers in a deal that marks the shipyard’s entry into the large size bulker segment. Multiple shipbuilding sources said Japan’s Doun Kisen has commissioned the Jiangsu-based shipyard to build three 210,000-dwt bulk carriers to be delivered from 2028. Nantong Xiangyu is famed for constructing ultramax and kamsarmax bulkers along with stainless steel chemical tankers.

    Diversified Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has been ranked as one of the top employers in Singapore. The annual survey was compiled by The Straits Times and global research company Statista which saw more than 14,000 respondents and over 380,000 responses in an independent online survey. EPS, which made the list for the first time, was ranked 243.

    China’s Jiangsu Ocean Shipping (Josco) is upsizing the container ships it is operating by ordering a series of feedermax newbuildings worth $180m. State-owned Josco has commissioned Jiangsu Soho Innovation & Technology, also known as Jiangsu Soho Chuangke Shipbuilding, to build four 3,000-teu newbuildings to be delivered in 2027. The newbuildings would be the largest container vessels under Josco’s control.
